Hi people, just wanna ask those who knows korean language, how do you say 'touch' in korean? Is it pronounced as

"touch-chi-gu" (sry for my lame spelling lol)

I am asking this because i am working in an oceanarium and i was standing at the touch pool today. Then there is this 2 tourists from korea that i think they do not understand the signboard in english which says "touch pool". And because i've heard this word in a drama and it looks like it means 'touch', i told the 2 tourist to "touch-chi-gu" while pointing at the fishes. But they gave me that shocked/blur expression....therefore i was thinking whether i've said something wrong or is it because they were kinda shocked that they are allowed to touch the fishes in it?

Thanks~

  1. hwa!!

  2. "To touch" is 만지다 (man-ji-da) or 손대다 (son-dae-da).

The noun "touch" is 느낌 (neu-kkim).

"Touch" would be spelled 토치 (to-chi), I believe. I can't find that word anywhere, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It's possible it sounds like a word in Korean that just didn't go with "fish" and they got confused.
