In our village, the Nursery children who are about to move up into Reception club together and buy books (with gift-plates stuck inside to say who it was from). They also give flowers and sometimes a large tin of biscuits for the staff to share. Another idea, if the Nursery has a garden or some planters, is a small tree or shrub or some herbs. That way the gifts last a while.  Hope that's helpful.
