How to scan an image?

I have a printer and scanner combined, but i can't install it to my computer as i got it when i had Windows XP and Vista wasn't out yet. Is there anyway i can still scan an image and it saves to your computer?

It depends on what brand the 3-in-one (I'm assuming it probably is) printer is. Google the printer name and type and go to the manufacturing company's website, and download a recent printer driver for your computer (it's like a cd-less printer installer).
