  1. SPLIT group into 4  fours

play all 1s one group all 2s one group etc.

then split all 1s among other groups etc.

keep splitting. work it out on paper.

  2. am not sure that this can be extended beyond four tournaments, but here is what I came up with:

    Player Tourn 1 Tourn 2 Tourn 3 Tourn 4

    Player 1 Team 1 Team 2 Team 3 Team 4

    Player 2 Team 2 Team 3 Team 4 Team 1

    Player 3 Team 3 Team 4 Team 1 Team 2

    Player 4 Team 4 Team 1 Team 2 Team 3

    Player 5 Team 4 Team 3 Team 2 Team 1

    Player 6 Team 3 Team 2 Team 1 Team 4

    Player 7 Team 2 Team 1 Team 4 Team 3

    Player 8 Team 1 Team 4 Team 3 Team 2

    Player 9 Team 2 Team 4 Team 1 Team 3

    Player 10 Team 4 Team 1 Team 3 Team 2

    Player 11 Team 1 Team 3 Team 2 Team 4

    Player 12 Team 3 Team 2 Team 4 Team 1

    Player 13 Team 3 Team 1 Team 4 Team 2

    Player 14 Team 1 Team 4 Team 2 Team 3

    Player 15 Team 4 Team 2 Team 3 Team 1

    Player 16 Team 2 Team 3 Team 1 Team 4

This is basically shifting the positions among 4 sub groups to make each player have a unique player slot position. If you can find a person who knows scheduling, they might be able to get you further down the road. I use this for my kid's baseball team and it works great for 9 players on 9 positions, but I don't have to worry about duplications. In fact, I can't avoid them.

  3. Well, you know there will be 4 foursomes. Take a little time, write it out. I'm not doing it for you.

  4. impossible
