How to seal donation jars?

Question

So i' setting like 4 different donation jars at restaurants and my mom told me that i should seal the jars somehow to make sure people from the restaurants won't take money out of it cause there's no telling what people these will do.

any suggestions?

I already sealed one with tape but it looks really

tacky and rough!

so any other ideas?

If someone is going to take a small amount of money from the jar they can do this through the opening you have in the jar. So sealing the lid on the jar can only stop the person who wants to steal more. My first thought on this is if a crook wants the money they will take the whole jar. Trying to open the jar and steal the money and then put the jar back takes too much time.. I say they would just pick it up and leave with it.

I am guessing it is for a worthy cause. Make sure that is on the outside of the jar and rely on human nature. Make sure the lid is on well enough. If the crooks want it they will just steal the whole thing.

Krazy glue edge of top then s***w lid on quickly.Takes alot to crack them open or use mirrior glue.

use masking tape and write something on the tape to cover the tape.
