How to seal end s***w cap on pvc pipe?

I have made an underwater camera housing with PVC pipe, and i have a s***w cap on the end with an O ring, but it leaks water. Any ideas on how to create an airtight seal?

Try some T-tape (teflon tape).  It is used to prevent leaks on s***w piping.

try wraping the threads with teflon tape. just use one layer it should work.

Silicone or pipe glue (it is like purple stuff) can't remember the exact name.

Plumb Weld, you can get it from any hardware shop

No matter what you do it will depend on the depth you intend to dive to , as you might know with every increase of ten meters in depth you gain another atmosphere in pressure

Most purpose made underwater cameras I've seen have a rubber o ring BUT it needs to be lubricated with Vaseline or similar  ( I kid you not)
