How to see Garmin GPS Icon?

Hi i have garmin gps nuvi 205W .when i m browsing the map and zooming then i can see the icon like fule statarthe ravelling in the cion,hotels like that but when i m travelling i cant see them.is there any way that when i m travelling i can see the icon .Actually while moving i can see only the street number or name but not the icon.Please help me

Points of interest only show up when you are zoomed in very closely.  It is like that for a reason.  If the POIs were always shown, the map would be ridiculously cluttered when you zoomed out because there would be so many objects displayed.
