  1. I would not grow such a dangerous plant. What if a child eats a bean or a leaf from it?

  2. I echo the previous post. The plant should be illegal to grow. I touched a Castor bean plant lightly once, and my fingers started to tingle. I immediately washed my hands afterwards. It's just irresponsible and a liability. Who cares how beautiful it is? There are plenty of beautiful plants that are less toxic.

  3. Leave the seeds on the plant until they pop out of the hull.  They will naturally reseed themselves, so much so you will be pulling them up by hand.  They are easy to grow from a seed, just put the seed in the ground and water it!  They are beautiful and look good in flower arrangements with orange flowers and sage green foliage.  I got my first seeds from some Hmong farmers who have a garden nearby.  They use the plant as a medicinal poltice (external only!).
