I have a car that I brought from Nevada which has the registration expired in Jan 08. I would like to sell it in California since I live here now. I think it's a 49 state car because under the hood it does not mention California certified. What do I need to do in order to sell it without any problems. Just to mention it the car is a 1999 Mercury.

  1. If the title is in your name then you'll need to register the car in CA to sell it. CA will allow you to register you car here, even if it's from another state, as long as you came from that state and moved to CA.

After it's registered, you can sell it.
