I have a Hewitt-Packard Officejet 6100(combination of printer, photocopier, scanner, fax machine).

I am trying to send a fax by long distance using the AT&T

calling card.

I call their 800 number and then put in the card's

identification number. To make a long distance voice

call by telephone.

However, it is a different matter when I try to send a fax..

I can't seem to do it. I am told you can send a fax letter

using a AT&T Calling Card or any calling card.

There there a detailed instructions or way of sending a

fax using a calling card using the HP device

as mentioned above??

Please help.

  1. When you say you are calling the 800 #, you mean you are dialing it from the fax machine and not the regular phone, correct?... Just checking..

  2. Pick up the handset of the fax machine and listen for a dial tone OR use speaker phone and listen for a dial tone. Dial

AT&T 800 number and and then dial your fax number. After few rings you will hear the fax tone, press STARTonly when you hear the fax tone. If you're using handset, hang up.
