How to send a postcard by mail?

Hi,

I need help on how to send a postcard by mail. I can't use the e-card because my friend, whom I'll send it to, doesn't have internet access.

I want the quickest way to send it. So, I'll just put it on my mailbox. But I don't know if I need a stamp or not? Also, I don't know where I'm supposed to write down the addressee?

What else beside these 2 things that I need to include? Thanks a lot

  1. Are you mailing it from the US?  If so...

If it is a picture postcard (photo or design on one side, blank on the other) then on the blank side, you put the "to" address on the right half, message on the left.  If it is a blank postcard, then your message goes on one side, address on the other. The postage goes above and to the right of the address where it's going.

For size 4 inches by 6 inches, put a 27 cent stamp in the upper right hand corner. If larger, you need 42 cent stamp. You can drop it off at the post office, or give it to your mailman to take for you.
