How to send folders to new computer?

i just got a new laptop, and was wonder how to send all my music files from my other computer to this one. thanks in advance :)

The easiest thing to do would be to go out and buy a USB flash memory stick at Best Buy or something.  Get a larger sized one(4 GB or so) or else it will take a while.  It's a simple matter of copying all your music folders from your hard drive to the flash memory stick and then doing the reverse on your new laptop.

You could connect both computers to the same network.

Steps you need…

Click start run

Type cmd, press enter

Type ipconfig on both computers

You are looking for the IP Address… example 192.168.0.0  

On the new computer, click start, run type in the

\\192.168.0.5\C$ (The IP Address of the old computer)

Now just look in Documents and Settings\yourname folder and copy the files you need off that computer.

Like desktop, favorites and My documents

Or just buy a thumb drive and copy the Documents and Settings\yourname folder to your thumb drive.

Use a flash drive and save your music files on there. You can then plug the flash drive into your laptop and upload the files to your new computer.

A good USB cable between the computers, flash drive, external harddrive, ftp them if you can network them ...
