How to send sms to a national number?

when sending sms through messenger its showin "Phone number 919923286753 cannot receive SMS messages at this time."

You may have to choose operator too.Website always use the international format of a phone no.

They may b varity of possibilities:

  1.You Friends mobile number  is not compatible to send the     Messages(like BSNL and other type of service providers).

  2.They have deactivated the Messeses from Yahoo messenger

  3. When the mobile is switched off or They are not using the Mobile or out of Area, or roaming

  4. If he is not using the mobile currently

  

Also you upgrade the version of yahoo messenger you are using.

  

But the porblem is with the mobile number. So call your friend to call to Customer care and tell the problem. So they will take care of the issue and May be after $ hours or so. He will Recieve the messages sent  by you.
