That depends on which western food you are serving. Most "western" food would be served on a plate and eaten with a fork and knife: steak, potatoes, peas, carrots, salads, pork chops.

Spoons would be used for stews, soups and cereals (grits, oatmeal, etc)

There are many western "finger foods" as well: ribs, fried chicken, fajitas, french fries, corn on the cob, watermelon, chips, sandwiches, etc.
