Angela's answer gives you a link to a very helpful site.  This is however a very loaded question.  You should do lots and lots of your own research before you dive in (pardon the pun)..

There are loads more sites dedicated to saltwater aquarium set up, the point is that you won't find all the information you need on just one site because if you have gone into these sites you will notice they have differences eg equipment, level of detail etc etc.

Good luck, please take the time to do the research you will be richly rewarded by all the beautiful fish and other marine life available.  Note: don't plan on scrimping, this can be an expensive hobby especially if you don't live on the coast and have access to natural sources.  You will also need to be time rich as upkeep is vital.
