How to set up dry loop internet?

Ok so i have at&t dsl.Since i am switching my phone service to vonage i need dry loop internet.At&t said that they were going to send people to set the dry loop up and hook up all the wiring for $200 and i didnt want to do that so instead they will hook the dry loop just outside the house and they said i need to install a phone jack that has a wire that is connecting to my dry loop wire so how am i going to do that.I have no idea on how to set up the phone jack inside the wall let alone make it so there is wiring connecting to the dry loop.Can anyone assist me.

  1. I never heard it called dry loop but I know what you are trying to do. You need to lift the pairs (disconnect) at the telephone interface usually on a interface outside your house.

    The best way is to run a new cable from the interface to the AT&T DSL DSU (modem). Now your house is isolated from the phone company but should still be connected together.

    Now run a line from your Vonage unit to any jack in your house and remove the DSL filters. That is it. Your done.

    You do realize you will need 2 telephone numbers as one local number  has to be present for DSL to work. And it can not be the Vonage number.
