We bought a 46" Samson HDTV a while ago and I wanted to set it up to recieve the HD channels. We dont have cable or satellite so I know I need a HD antenna. What else do I need to hook it up? I am also a little confused as to how to go about setting it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. First: type your address into antennaweb and it will tell you where the TV towers are relative to your home, and if you can use an indoor or outdoor antenna.  It will also tell you the channels.

If you can use an indoor antenna- get the Phillips Silver Sensor Classic antenna for about $22 on line or $30 at Frys. Plug it into your TV with a long CATV coax and position the antenna in the room for a clear view to the major TV towers.

On your TV should be a setup menu that lets the TV scan for channels. Find this feature after hooking up the antenna and let it go to work.

When finished - you should be able to find standard def and HD versions of major networks like ABC, CBS, NBC.
