When I updated to Service Pack 3, I saw Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) was available. But when I went to System Properties and under the Remote Tab, there isn't an option to "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer". Any ideas? Thanks

  1. you probably only have the client software. You can connect to a windows server, but they can't connect to you.

    Try VNC... http://www.realvnc.com/

  2. You cannot connect to a machine remotly that is running windows Home, you must have Pro.

What you can do with Home is connect to a Pro machine remotly.

  3. Windows XP Home users can't connect host a remote desktop connection but can connect to one. On the other hand windows xp professional users can host a remote desktop connection.
