Question:

How to setup Wireless internet between two computers?

I have just gotten a dell XPS m1530 and have been trying to set up the internet. I have Our Cable modem hooked up to our Belkin Wireless Router. Connected to that is the ethernet cord which goes to the Computer.

The only time I am able to get internet on the laptop is when I am using this USB adapter connected to it.

The internet itself works off and on. Half the web pages won't load. World of Warcraft will open, but Counter Strike can't conenct to steam.

Am I doing something wrong?

  1. Routers only run one computer at a time, not the whole house full

  2. I have a wireless system and and whenever my son comes with his computer, it runs at the same time on the same system, also wireless. And there are no cables connected anywhere except  the ac adapter.

If you want your computer to be wireless you need to eliminate the ethernet cable.

Is it possible you have set this thing up wrong? Call the Belkin tech support for help.

  3. Routers do not only run one computer, dont listen to that guy. You might need to check your USB adapter and how its rated. You also might have others using your wireless, which would cut down speed.

  4. the router make you able to use more than one computer

you should call the company and ask them if the turn the filter off

becuz they might have only use one Computer at a time
