Question:

How to shake pre show jitters/nerves?

Tonight is the opening night for a play... i have been in ever ten plays but i am constantly looking for ways to keep my mind/stomach off the show... so any ideas? i.e. knitting or soduko

  1. I did stretches and breathing techniques to help me calm down before a show.  I am very nervous and have a difficult time performing in front of people, but it's really helped me to try to regulate my breathing and stretch before hand.  It even helped in my college speech class, which was a nightmare when I had to talk in front of people.  LOL


  2. Generally, what I do before a show is I try to do things that I enjoy doing so I'm happy and excited before I go on.  I usually like to watch a good movie or write my journal.  Try doing this you enjoy.  And have fun in your show!

  3. Just tell youself "I DO NOT have time to be nervious. I have a performance." over and over as many times as you need.
