How to share an internet connection?

Hi,

I just bought a 2nd computer, but don't know how to share an internet connection. I have the computers in different rooms.

I connect to the internet through a DSL modem using an ethernet connection from the modem to the computer, then the modem is connected to the phone line.

Any info would be great. :)

Edit:  If you want to avoid running the cables between the computers just invest in a wireless router and a couple adapters.

you  need  a  modem  with  at  least  two  ethernet  ports  on it, you  just  need  to  plug  1  computer  into  port  on  rear  of  modem    and  using  ethernet  cable (purchased  from  any  puter  shop )  plug  2nd  puter  into   modem and the   other  end  of  cable  into   2nd  puter   if  you  have  modem    (like mine )  with  6  ports  then   you   can  run  6  computers  from  one server      hope  this  helps  you.
