How to share and show shared folders in my Network?

How can I share and show shared folders in my network? Please tell me how to do that also in Vista along with XP.

I am assuming that you have the LAN already up and running.

You need to convert the folders you wish  to share into network shared folders.

Open Windows Explorer (right click START, click on explore).  Go to the folder you wish to share, right click on it, select properties, and  click on the sharing prompts.  You need to do this with all folders you wish to share.

In XP right click on the folder and go to "sahring and security" check the "Share on network" box and it will do it for you
