Building small duck enclosure for laying, have shingles applied up to top or "peak". How do I finish this out "properly"? (I have done 2-pitch roofing, but no single-pitch)

  1. am not sure of your terminology 'mono-pitch', but if you mean how to lay cap shingles on a gable roof: you just cut the tabs off your shingles and install across the ridge with a nail on each side of the ridge and overlap each piece to cover the nails by a couple inches. not sure that's what you mean, but hope that helps.

  2. flash it with a drip edge and use plenty of tar under the flashing and the top of your top course of shingles, this is not exactly  proper but the proper thing to do is to build a gable roof
