Ni Howdy~ everybody~

As you can see from my greeting, I am a Chinese in Texas~

Now I meet a real problem:

Since I came here to USA, I have bought a lot of books.

They are so many that they fill 3 boxes.

Those three boxes all weigh between 30 and 40 lbs.

-- to be specific, 32, 35, 38 lbs. respectively--

and are all of the dimension 14x14x14 in inches.

Now that the USPS had canceled the book rate for international shipping. I am not really into spending $600

to get them back.

Plus, I have heard that sea shipping may also be a very good choice. Therefore, may I ask everybody to share your idea on

how to ship all these books back.

To give you more understanding into the situation. My family

is in Shanghai, China and Taiwan, both very urbanized places, but I am living in Abilene, Texas. About 3 hours to

Dallas.

Thank everybody!

  1. If you are not in a hurry, I highly recommend using sea shipping. My friend sends books from US to various countries all the time using this method. It is the cheapest. A tip is to pack them small.

  2. You may want to look into a package forwarding company like Bongo International http://www.BongoUS.com as they will consolidate all your items here in the states and send them as one shipment to Shanghai.  They can also be used as a US address for your family in China so that they can buy goods in the US online.

Bongo provides a 50% discount off DHL rates.  Therefore, you should be able to get a fast transit, but still save a lot of money.  Good luck!
