Question:

How to shoot (exert) electricty from your hands ?

i was woundering if it was even possible and then i found a vid with a guy charging himself with electricty from a T.V and then exerting tiny bursts of electricty from the tips of his fingers, i coudnt find out how to do it, i searched every were` but didnt find anything- so help me out guyz ,i really wana do this or atleast try

btw i used my pc's psu and tried ,but all that did was run current from one arm to another, and when i let one of my hands go which was grounding me to the psu ` I Got zaaaaped 'it was Buzzzzzzzz LOOL.

  1. You're after static electricity... which occurs on the surface of a CRT screen. You do NOT want AC current from a power supply!

    When you turn off the tv screen, static charge builds up.  If you're touching the TV when you turn if off, static charge builds on you.  Then, when you touch something grounded, the charge goes from you to that grounded thing, creating sparks.

    Static electricity carries very high voltages (thousands of volts)-- but very low current -- which is why it generally won't kill you.  On the other hand, your computer's power supply may only have 120 volts., but can deliver several amps.  It only takes a few dozen milliamps to kill you... best not to play with electricity if you don't know what you're doing!
