I didn´t really explain myself on this question. Right now I´m on a vacation, and I´m staying here for 7 weeks. I´m having fun and all but I´m just curious about this..

When I arrived at my destination, June 15th

When I leave, August 10

I used American Airlines

The ticket was 1,000$

So, I don´t want to leave or anything but I´m just curious if you could change the date that you leave. As in, earlier! Just asking, any information and I´ll add it in additional details!

If your one of those who makes fun of peoples comments I reccomend you don´t answer this quesiton. I´m serious about this, and not gonna waste my time reading your stupid answers ok? Just to make that clear!

  1. Most people buy tickets that cannot be changed--at least without paying a fee.  Last time I had to change a ticket, it cost $100.

  2. Mostly it depends on the price you paid for your ticket if you can change your travel dates without a $ penalty.

Paying the lowest fare (which I always do)  there is a charge to change the booked travel dates.  Booking the higher priced fares you often can change the booked travel dates, normally it isn't worth the additional cost, in my opinion.

    Good luck.

  3. You have to read an answer to know if it's stupid.  You can't unread it after you've determined its stupidity.

To answer your question, yes you can change the date but you will have to pay an additional charge.

  4. On your confirmation of book it will tell you if changes are allowed and the cost. Some do allow, most charge, unless you have a 'full price' ticket. Probably not for $1,000. Ring a local branch and check it out if there is no information on your travel documents.
