How to simplify algebraic expressions help?

Question

i have like 10 of these to do but forget how to do it and need to know the process so i could finsih the rest on my own

one of them is

x^2 + 5x+6

x^2 - 4

I know the 5x+6 becomes (x+3) and (x+2) and i think the x^2s get cancelled out since theres two of them right but I'm stuck there if thats right
