How to sing in tenor or alto or bass?

There's no "trick." You just learn how to sing properly, and your voice fits into a range. You can't actively change your range any more than you can actively change how tall you are.

You could always join a choir of some sort. The director of the choir could help you discover what is your most comfortable range, and give you advice if you want to expand your range. There are all sorts of choirs, including community choirs, church choirs, and school choirs, etc.

I think personal contact with a choir director would be more effective than going on a web site. Good luck!
