How to solve a 2x2 rubik's cube?

i hav this 2x2 rubiks cube and i can solve the first layer easily! th is no problem as i hav watched tutorials bout it on you tube! i used the algoritham Ri, Di, R, D....thn every1 sais 2 flip the cube over and line up one of the cubes on the top layer with one on the bottom layer! i do this but thn now i am completely stuck! i hav no idea wat 2 do from here any help will b realy apreciated! thx

You may have tried to use the method by Dan Brown!

But this is wrong! If you keep on doing the algorithms that you are doing right now, its never going to help.
