Question:

How to solve a Rubix Cube?

by  |  earlier

I've heard about people being able to do it in a matter of seconds, and that's pretty amazing! How do you solve a rubix cube? I've been at it for a couple of months now, and it's not looking any better. I have also been wondering, how do you get better at IQ games? I tried a couple of different ones, and I can't help but feel really stupid because I can't solve any.

  1. Youtube is the best way if you cant find anyone to teach you.

ive found the books very confusing and video image helps alot.. but the best way is finding someone to teach you the patterns..

my neighbor taught me and i can now do it under a minute

  2. There are tutorials on youtube.

  3. Excuse me, but to solve a rubix cube, you need the telepithy of a two dinasours and a half!!!! Plus you need to be listening to the badger song while you solve it!

  4. I used this website to solve mine. Made me feel pretty smart to solve a rubiks cube!

  5. 1) Go to http://www.rubiks.com/Academy.aspx

and click on Tyson Mao Video

    2) http://www.cubestation.co.uk/cs2/index.p...

    3) Or go on youtube.com and look up Rubik's cube tutorial and find the one the you think is the best.

p.s: I think you should try the first one because that's the video I use when I started to learn.

or try this!!! You can find the other parts of the video in site.

    Hope this would help you!!!

  6. Turn cube

    Turn again

    Turn again

    Turn again

    Get frustrated

    Throw against wall

    Rebuild cube

    Turn cube

    Turn again

Shove in box for 4 years

    Remove from box

    Turn cube

    Turn again

    Turn again

    Get frustrated

    Kill spouse

    Go to  jail

Spend the next 35 years of your life randomly turning the cube till it one day is magically solved

Seriously though, it's all a pattern, you will not solve it (easily) by randomly turning the sides. Look around on youtube and google, theres lots of tutorials on the methods of solving a cube.

  7. http://www.wrongway.org/cube/solve.html

just go to this link and fil in the colors that are on your rubix cube and it will solve it for you. the top box is for the top and the far left is the left side and the next ber is the center face then the right face and then the back face and the bottom square is the bottom side and after you fill out the colors it will solve it for you.

  8. If you want to learn how to solve the Rubik's cube, try one of these websites for solutions. I find them pretty easy to understand:

    http://www.learn2cube.com

    http://peter.stillhq.com/jasmine/rubiksc...

If you just want to get your Rubik's cube solved, here's a website with a program that solves your cube for you:

    http://wrongway.org/cube/solve.html

    Hope this helps! ;D

  9. i just take the squares apart and put them back together-solved-then start over :)

  10. lol...dont feel bad...the last rubix cube I solved ended up with me peeling all the stickers off and sticking them back on by color

  11. My cousin can solve a Rubix Cube behind his back. I don't really see how this is possible, since colors don't feel different from each other. He probably just turns his eyeballs around in his head and stares through his skull. Now that would be impressive.

As for imporiving your IQ, that's hard, because it's kind of a measure of your innate and intuitive intelligence. You can just try taking tons of those phoney online ones and go over the ones you miss in great detail, or at least memorize the correct answers to all of the questions.

You can also lie and tell everyone you have an IQ of 140.

  12. [][][][]

    [][][][]

[][][][]  okay... that's the cube from eye level. On the third column, turn it ^ up ^ twice. Then look around the cube for a side that matched up. Ex,  the bottom face happens to have the orange squares together.

Now turn the cube V down V so that the face under the orange one is facing you. Ex, look at the cube from bird's eye view. (directly above it) You see orange. Now turn the entire cube down to see the next face. You don't see any orange. But then you leave bird's eye view to look at it at eye level. At eye level, you should see the orange face.

Look at it from bird's eye view. Turn the entire cube once to the right. When you look at bird's eye view, you see a different face. but when you look at it from eye level, it's still the orange face.

Now do the first step again. (turning the third column up twice) This time, you don't face to look for a face that has all the colors together. You only do that when you start the cube!!!

So, instead, you skip to the step of turning the entire cube once to the right. Then you just continue the steps of (turning the thirs column up twice) and (turning the entire cube to the right once)

Just keep doing that until all the cubes line up you solve it! -^-^-

If you want, after you solve it, you can do the above steps again to do a pattern. (blu/yel/blu/yel/blu) All you do is that first step, and DO check for a face that has a pattern of two different colors like a checkers pattern, and follow the steps again!

After you finish getting all the patterns together, just do the steps again to return it to a regular rubik's cube solution, and you'll always be able to change it from pattern to solution~

WARNING: If you move it even ONCE out of step or pattern, it'll change the entire cube. I forgot how to change it back after it's been jumbled up, so if you wanna keep using it, try to keep from jumbling it up after solving it!!!

    Hope it works!

-=-=- And about the IQ thing, the question need looking between the lines as well, so try working on looking through a question. Like sequences from a test I took:

car, 4, clock, 12, hat, 1, glove, _ What's the next in the sequence?

It's 5. Car has four wheels, clock has 12 hours, hat has one head, glove has five fingers ^^ Really easy if you try looking behind math, etc.

  13. just keep turing it until it matches its hard i have tried. Don't give up

  14. Here are some videos:

    Part one-http://youtube.com/watch?v=HsQIoPyfQzM

    Part two-http://youtube.com/watch?v=IW_BBp3FPMQ

  15. http://peter.stillhq.com/jasmine/rubiksc...

  16. There are certain combinations you have to remember to complete it more quickly but the key is to line up the same colours along all the top and bottom rows first.

Check on YouTube there are some tutorials there.

I only completed it once a couple of years ago but my technique would probably be a little rusty if i attempted it again lol

  17. That's a good question.  hmmm.  I always wondered how they did that, too.
