How to speak really great spanish?

Question

I want to know how to be able to speak spanish just as well as I speak english, I know I will be takin spanish for highschool but is that all i can do? just learn it in highschool??

i know both cuz im hispanic and i took it last year in school and i have to take it again since its a 2 year course (easy A) but anyways if i didnt know i would try to take more spanish classes or be around people who speak spanish

Tell your spanish teacher you want to speak spanish really well, he'll help you. For sure he is a native speaker.

Another thing you can do is try to read children's stories in spanish, I say children because the language is simpler and easier to understand if you are learning. Try to listen to songs in spanish and do not forget the help of your teacher, it can be really valuable. He can connect you with a spanish pen pal, so you can can practice.

It takes years and years to perfect a language. You'll have to take it through high school. Check and see if there is any classes in your area you can take. You can most likely take spanish in college (Kinda depends where you go). When you do take it in high school, study, study, study. Especially verbs and vocab.

Learn it, practice it , study it, go and visit a hispanic country and be "picky" about the accent you are going to get.
