How to speed up a dirt bike?

I've read that to speed up a dirt bike, pocket bike or whatever, you need to upgrade the motor, exhaust, etc. What i want to know is, is there a way to speed it up without using some $$ ? possibly the throttle stop s***w? please respond

Pull your motor apart and clean /regrease everything,Get your jetting to the way you like it and run it on the highest quality oil/parts you can afford. It doesnt matter how old the bike is, if you look after it it will look after you.

unless your bike is a 50cc (4stroke) it probably does not have a throttle stop... some bikes, not designed for the track, have baffelsin the exhaust that can be pulled out ant that will help...
