How to speed ur your freestyle ?

My timing just wont turn better ..... what should i do?

dont do a 3 kick beat thats bull      dont lisn to that      do a 6 beat kick!!!! omg i do a 56:14 on my 100 free and h**l yea i do a 6 beat kick....try it!!

I do a 50, so i'll tell u from my perspective. First, when u dive, keep your arms as colse to ur head and keep them as tight as possible. Do a streamline, but not too long becauseif u start swimming earlier you'll get the lead. Anyways, swim butterfly kick in your streamline. At most, swim with 3 breaths ( u should try 2). Swim into the wall for your flip turn (dont take a breath right before). Make sure u dont turn to early or else you'll fall behind. Push of as hard as u can, and do butterfly kick. Make sure you kick as hard as u can ( but do free kick). On the way back u should do 3 breaths again ( 4 if u have to). At the last body length or so, is when u go 100 % . So make sure u swim ur hardest as u possibly can at the end. Hopefully this helps.

-have someone check out your kick (you knees could be  

bending sightly and that slows you down)

-make sure you stretch out the stroke(reach your arms as long  

as the can go)

-try to get your breathes shorter and quicker

-start (try to get out further)

Timing is usually improved by doing drills like the 3 beat kick (3 kicks to one freestyle stroke). Improving timing also requires slow practise so make sure its slow enough for you to do that 3 beat kick i mentioned.

alright freestyle is a tricky stroke to get faster at.

and for myself i am really bad at kicking so

what my coach tells me to do is to reach far and pull

in a zig zag motion like twice.

oh and dont cross kick! i had problems with that lol .
