How to spend as little money as possible for a nice family holiday in a resort?

Bring your own things to have fun with. Bathing suits and sports sets (volleyball net, etc.) If you're at a resort I would think that they would have activities already organized. Just remember to think positive and enjoy.

The best way is to determine your spending budget BEFORE you start looking around, that way you can eliminate resorts that are already out of your budget.  Once you have a hard dollar amount you won't go over, shop for an all inclusive package at resorts within your budget.

Go on a cruise.  That's what i'm planning for my family next summer.  Might as well since the air fares nowadays are closely getting to the prices of cruises.

plan your whole vacation out completely before you leave.

so theres no if's or but's later.

make sure your hotel is all inclusive! that saves a load of money

you can go snorkling.. its free (instead of scuba diving)

all activities are pretty expensive everywhere you go..

im not sure what you like to do for fun.. so cant say what else you can do..

also if your going to a diff country.. try to nagotiate prices at the little store thingys.. they try to jack up prices pretty high.
