  1. ah, well, I suppose being a housewife on the H4, which is in fact what you agreed to be when you applied for and accepted the H4 would be really an insuffcient reward. Well, if you want to do something else, you'll need to qualify for something else, either as an H1b as your husband, or under some other sort of visa program, possibly a J or some other work related petition. If you find you have a lot of time on your hands, you should be able to use that time to find something you would find rewarding, and legal. Then, after you're petitioned, you could change status through USCIS. Or, you could go for a Ph'd program and continue to improve your resume. That you could do without even changing status from H4. And then, the fact that you now have a graduate degree from a US university would put you in a different status and make it even easier to find employment as an H1b. Something to consider, perhaps. Of course, if your husband is sponsored by his employer for legal permanent resident status, then you too, could work in the US for anyone who wanted to hire you.

  2. Volunteer at the local library, the homeless shelter, join local community groups that deal with volunteers, volunteer at your local school if you have kids. There are tons of ways you can spent your time!

  3. M.sc means Masters in science, i think she can give tutions for school children at home.

  4. This is perhaps your opportunity to perhaps consider further study like a Ph.D.  They need good skilled technical people in the USA.  Having an H4 in the USA will allow the university to perhaps assist you in obtaining a J visa for further study/research (or Student Visa).  Either way, you will be paying the foreign rate.

The other option is to find a research opportunity in an organization that is ready to sponsor you for a J visa or H-1B.

You can also look for work in the private sector for a company ready to sponsor for H-1B, though this may be difficult to get.
