How to start a lolita clothing business?

Its been a dream of mine to start selling Lolita clothing in my own store. How sould I start? Any tips? Please no silly or mean answers, no bashing Lolita either. =) thanks!

It depends on whether you want to be a company like say, Candy Violet, or In The Starlight? Do you want to be a seamstress or have your clothing made in a factory by the designs that you make?

If you want to be a seamstress, then you have to start small. Make your own clothes, make some clothes for your friends, then start selling clothing you make on websites like Etsy or the EGL community sales, and doing commissions on websites like DeviantArt and again, the community sales. If you get good enough and fast enough at sewing, then you can start your own webstore.

Popularity in the lolita community, (and I'm talking about yourself, not your store) helps more than anything.
