How to start a thank you note?

i need to make a thank you note that i will be reading at the pagent TOMMOROE! adressing my sponsers ( my parents )

for all they have done to help me suceed in this pagent! it is an honor for me to even be at the pagent at STATE LEVEL so any who can help will GET 10 PTS!

Well for one I hope you use Spellcheck as you obviously didn't do here.  Sorry to sound like a b^tch but proper grammar is important when writing something so important.  It shows the other person(s) respect.  Just like when you invite people over to your house, you keep it neat and clean, not messy and uncared for.

You can keep it short and sweet and to the point.  "I would like to thank my parents who have supported me throughout this entire process.  Without their love and affection and money  ((<<<----a cute joke like that is ok)) I would not have been able to get as far as I have.  I only hope I have made you both proud and will continue to support me all the way!  Thank you."

"Allow me to take a few minutes to thank the people without whom it would have been impossible for me to get this far. It's an honor for me to even be standing here. Sometimes cliches are unavoidable. Thank you mom, dad, [others sponsors]!"

But then just say what you're feeling. Let the rest be spontaneous, they're your parents. Talk to them like you would on a dayly basis. Be yourself. Don't let it sound rehearsed.
