  1. Well, you may not be the next child star, and it will take time.

    For Theatre...

Get in a local acting group. They have them at the YMCA even. It'll cost some money but if you love it I'd definitley consider it. Look for play auditions online or in the newspaper[maybe...].

    For Cinematic [movies]...

       1. Get some head shots. They don't need to be by a famous photographer. They can be by mom in your back yard. Remember you want a shot of you smiling, not giving a peace sign like for your myspace page.

       2. Look at Theatre. Get in an acting class. You may be a good actress now, but it'll improve your technique and you'll be even better.

       3. Post those "movies" you made with your friends on myspace and on Youtube. Tell friends and family about it and tell them to spread the word.

       4. Make a website. I found Yahoo geocities to be very helpful. I now have three and I barely know HTML.

       5. Have fun with it! If you get to sucked up in Hollywood then you'll come off as arrogant and annoying. Don't be a Paris, be a... oh I don't know, Selena Gomez. haha.

    Hope that helped!

    Paige, 14

  2. Try doing some theatre... that way you get a taste of acting and can discover if this is really what you want to do.

  3. dude u don't need classes to  get your acting career started...all you need to know is the basics...and take drama class as a high school freshman...it was a good decision for me on my part..make's me wanna be an actor too..and im 14 lol..but yeah...first thing to learn is how to relax yourself...learn some breathing exercises...they'll keep your heart raate down and you won't freeze on stage, then learn vocal color and improvisation...all that stuff is key to a good actor...and THE MOST IMPORTANT KEY IS THE QUOTE "ACTING IS REACTING!" you've gotta be able to react with your co-actors phsyically or improvisationally...those are the most important parts to acting..well to me at least
