How to start my Model portfolio ?

I am looking into the modeling industry and i would like to know if anyone knows how i should start modeling?

Like, i joined Model Mayhem and it was great! i had 3 shoots and more coming up and suddenly i got my account closed by moderators.

what other Good website is there to model?

Well, there's Onemodelplace.com- it's the biggest online modeling site but  there are SO many people there, it can be overwhelming.  Also consider participating in photo day events to make contacts and book TFP shoots from which you can build your portfolio.

Model Mayhem is great- you might also check out Musecube.com and ei411.com (supposedly launching this month)

Why did the mods close your portfolio? That seems harsh.
