I have a 2420 acer travelmate. It has been coming on and off by itself.Today it wouldn't start at all. Is there a fuse or something I can do to make it start? It acts like there isn't any power, but there is

spray dust cleaner in the unit, the processor cannot cool when there is excess dust build up. Therefore, when the processor reaches a certain temperature it shuts it self down.

You could check a few of the following things i will list below.

Is the Laptop battery Fully charged?

Check the Fuse from the Laptop Charger as it might be dead,..and use a new one.

Did you're Laptop get wet recently?

This could cause a few problems,..so take it into a shop to get it looked at.

The Laptop might be faulty and needs replacing.

Take it back and get another one.

Sounds like you probably have moisture in the laptop.  Have a professional take a look at it.
