How to start up a Starbucks in Costa Rica or other country?

A coworker of mine really wants to start a Starbucks in Costa Rica or other business like a Panda Express there or maybe another country. Does anyone know where i may be able to find some information for him? Please and Thank you.

Let me get this straight...your friend wants to start a Starbucks in a coffee exporting country where every place you go has shops with some of the best coffee in the world?  Start with market research then try again.

I live in Costa Rica...To tell you the truth I don't think a coffee business would work....The coffe here is great and cheap....The price for a Starbucks type business, In my opinion would be too high, but you never know......

As far as information goes I'd start with a good attorney.....I can offer a few names if needed......

Unfortunately, you cannot buy a Starbucks franchise since they do not sell franchises.  All Starbucks stores are company owned and operated.  However, if you have the ambition and energy to consider getting up and serving coffee before dawn, you should definitely follow your plans to start a business of your own.  

An underserved market in Internet consulting has emerged in the last few years, and many companies including WSI are offering Internet services franchise opportunities.

not sure if Starbucks business would be a good idea since Costa Rica has a great coffee one of the best in the world, and everyone makes their own coffee at home but good luck

As Starbucks is scaling back - not sure this is the best time. Contact the company. Check out their website I guess.
