How to start working as a freelnace photojournalist?

I want to work as a freelance photojournalist, I want to know how can I geet press card. I live in Punjab, India...... Can you please tell me where to start...... I have sony Cyber shot camera 7.2 MP.

Hi light,

Apart from going through some training in photography, you should have contacts with newspaper publishers. There are many in Jalandhar and in Chandigarh.
