  1. Interview older women of varying ages and ask them what life was like for women when they were your age.

  2. you answered your own question miss. There is NO more to say. So preferably start [& finish] without a pencil, pen or paper.

  3. You dont men and women are not equal.

However if you are talking about equal RIGHTS, start with the human rights charta and how all humans are born with undeniable rights etc..

  4. I have a dream...a dream where all men and women be again like adam and eve, both equals.

  5. Once upon a time in a land far far away.......

  6. Start with :           It is my hope that one day men will be appreciated and accepted .............

  7. Start with a thesis that Say's something like "There was a time when each gender had a specific role, now as we evolve as a human race, traditional roles are becoming an absence of society."

A good thesis statement will strongly support your argument, and/or catch the attention of your intended audience.

  8. Look up the Declaration Of Sentiments.http://www.nps.gov/archive/wori/declarat...

Start by quoting it (all?) (notice the resemblance to the declaration of independance?)

Then explain what it is and the first wave and its accomplishments(and why they were needed),

see "FIRST EDIT" below for SOME suggsetion about that

and then the second wave(starting with Betty Friedan, The Feminine Mystique in the 60's) and its accomplishments - and why they were needed

fo that understand even as recently as the 70's, my mom was reffered to as Mrs. ROBERT McSchmeeze(yea Mrs HIM-she didnt have her own name, and she couldnt get a bank loan, because she was ONLY a woman.(needd husband's PERMISSION

THAT was as recently as the 70's

so the 2nd wave took care of some things like that.

    __________

alright, so now you established COMPELLING need for a womens movement to start (and exist infirst place (the inception at Seneca Falls, that convention where trhey created gthe declaration of sentiments)

you've showed they fought for 70 years (STUCK to it, and got it done - a lot of wrongs were corrected AND the right to vote was gotten (why did you ever not have it?!! )

    2. You showed there was a lapse of interest (perceived need --WWII happened, things changed, it got to the 60's -->SECOND wAVE>

3.You show theres another lapse of interest, but now an unexpected twist (the taking over of the country by the Republican party, who want to strip some of your rights BACK, and who malign you badly and succesfully

    consider this...

    ______________________________-

I'm pro choice, but I dont like being forced to be that because

the whole phony debate everyone is encouraged to parrott whether they're "pro choice" or"pro slap your bit ch"

was concocted by the Republicans to MAKE you think you oughta' be arguing about whether a woman should be told what she can or cant do

THAT was the purpose in MAKING an issue of "abortion"...NOT because the religious creeps cared about unborn fetuses(THEY DONT)no-->just because they found a way to RE-INTRODUCE into our society a consideration of "SHOULDNT we get to go back to telling women what they can and cant do?"

FIRST EDIT-  (I posted this for a confused younster who was repeating some hate...)

Misconceptions stem from hate campaigns waged by Rush Limbaugh on behalf of the Republican Party, and its decades long struggle to take over the country.

He had a venue (his tv show) and decided one group at a time, to discredit each of the segments of people who typically voted democrat (environmentalists, women, g**s most notably)...he'd get on tv each day (with his audience full of buffoons("dittohads", they called themselves) and he'd coin a new hate phrase for America

    1)Feminazis

    2)Tree huggers

    etcetera...

Along with this start, and then the FOX network becoming prevalent, the deal was sealed, and so now any hate-filled RUBBISH that the RNC wanted to put out , they could just script it , and call it news, and all the parrotheaded nobodies in life will repeat, and so passively come to beleive it even as true.

( If many young uneducated people  knew what feminism actually was, they'd be ashamed of what theyve been saying now about it, without even knowing anything )

But this is what's been going on, and I'm very unhappy, because they've got the women themselves parrotting the mean BS's that are being put out against them, FOR the jerks that are putting it out!

(Jimmy KImmel tried to trick women into signing petitions against women's suffrage, on the man show - remember that?

Oh I like titties too, but I have a mother, and a sister, and I think women are wonderful creatures. And I couldnt live with myself if I pulled mean tricks against them.

I mean it cause ignorance to fester and become in a society, like starting a disease.

Would you honestly deny your sister to get to be what she wants to be in life? (If you got a sister)?

Would you be in favor of your mom being slapped and told to go make cookies?

I'm gonna give you this. It's something someone prepared to show the women now who say they arent "feminist" how ignorant of their own history, and silly and ungrateful they may actually be...

    " I'M NOT A FEMINIST BUT...

I appreciate the right to help chose my government representatives.

I enjoy the option of wearing pants or shorts if I want.

I'm pleased that I was allowed to learn to read and write.

It can be very convenient to control how many babies I want to have.

It's awfully useful to be able to open a bank account, and own property in my name.

I like knowing that my husband or boyfriend cannot legally beat me.

It's really swell to keep the money I earn.

Any idea how BAD we treated women in the past? All those things were really denied them, and more (in the late 19th century if a woman was having orgasms, or wanting them, or found masturbating, she was taken to the doctor and declaredf "hysterical" (a medical condition, they said).

(Just like at the time there was a medical condition in the books that explained that black slaves were actually suffering a form of insanity, for wanting to escape and have freedom.)

Women were considered legally MENTALLY INCOMPETENT(in the way an infant or an Alzheimer's patient is) and so were unallowed to own things, or testify in court (even for themself).

It was a pretty ugly damned world.

And the story of how some women(and men) got together and fought for 70 years to right some of these wrongs, is a favorite of mine.

It shows some people having a spine ! And I ADMIRE that!

So youve built a case for why feminism was (1st wave, 2nd wave), you've enlightened us on what it is now (heavily maligned, faultering, no clear direction or popular direction or chances currently

and HERES where YOU get to postulate on where we, it should go next, and why!

Enjoy(Send me a copy if think of it, I love this subject!
