Okay, so, I have to start writing this paper...It's due on 9/3/08 (at least the 1st draft is due then).
Anyway, the assignment is to take an average word that is misunderstood and write the whole paper about the definition of that word.
The word I chose is "courage". I don't know how to start the paper [always the hardest part for me!]
This is the book's example about wisdom:
What is Wisdom?
"Wise guy." "Wisecrack." "Wise up." What does the word wise mean in all these expressions? Who is wise, and what is wisdom? A dictionary might define wisdom as "knowledge of what is right, true and lasting However, none of these expressions has much to do with those qualities. On the contrary, they seem to have more to do with being sarcastic and street smart than being honest and knowledgeable. This contradiction leads me to the conclusion that wisdom is a type of knowledge that is neither widely recognized nor widely practiced.
I need to come up with something clever like that only for courage..
Any ideas on how to get me started?
Thank You!!!!
