  1. it depends where!

i heard about veterans having a bullet in their body and still living, but they might have had medical treatment...

  2. depends where it is but if its in your hand wrap it up in a cloth and hold it above your head

  3. if it didnt hit anything major you wont bleed to death. so make an incision above the bullet and cut it out ,keep pressure on it until it stops bleeding and you might wanna pour some sugar on it to help wit the clotting. then sanitize the wound and sanitize a needle n stitch it up

  4. Well, it all depends where you are shot at, and with what type of gun.

If you are shot with a BB gun, it isn't so bad that you need to go to the hospital. If you are shot in the head, with some other type of gun, of course you are not going to live.

Or if you are shot in an artery as well.

But you have to put pressure on the wound and stop the bleeding.

And even if you stop the bleeding on the outside, you can still be bleeding on the inside.

You really should go to the hospital, if the wound is bad.

It can always get infected and that might lead to amputation.

Don't pull an amateur surgeon, and stick your fingers in the bullet wound to try to take it out.

That will deffinatley lead to infection.

It really is best if you go to the hospital.

  5. lol the best thing is to put a CLEAN rag on it and apply pressure but i think your jsut being silly lol

  6. Uhm. Depends.

Well as a serious answer, i would keep the bullet wherever it is and tighty wrap some material around the wound to minimise bleeding and call 000.

And if you cant do that, you're pretty much screwed.

  7. Are you daft?

What the h**l are you trying to say..?

  8. You are at a serious risk of infection that can lead to death.  Go to the hospital.  They've heard all the stories. If you are worried about the police is it worth dying for?  Yes hospitals are required to report a gunshot wound but if you don't go you can die.  And the chances of survival with your own care is way to low.

  9. Hard to say without knowing the exact extent of the damage. Blood loss would be a big factor and a hospital could do things to stop it that you can't do at home.

If a bullet just grazed you, then you treat the wound like any other, to clean, sterilize, and bandage it. You couldn't do that if the bullet entered your body and passed through; even if it didn't hit any vital part, you would be smart to see a doctor soon.

The worst case would be if the bullet is still inside:

Sometimes a foreign body inside a person or animal gets sort of walled-off inside there so it doesn't do anything more, but I don't know if that applies to bullets, and it would be foolish to depend on that happening when someone has been shot. Think of the damage the bullet may have done to muscles, organs, or other important parts of you, not to mention the danger of infection. There may be serious internal bleeding you don't know about. You could be gambling with your life here.

Since you asked this question, I am thinking that maybe you have been shot and hesitate to go to a hospital for fear of the police being notified. Please, please, go anyway. Your life is the most important thing. What do you have without that?

Sure, there may be unpleasant consequences when the police get interested in you, but they won't be the end of the world. There can be all sorts of great things waiting for you in the future, and you'll look back and think you are glad you got that gunshot wound taken care of and didn't die or get crippled from it.
