  1. STRONG coffee...or expresso....take something to eat..yogurt actually is a good thing for the brain....can you get any RED BULL or any type of energy drink...and water...but don't ever over drink water..around 8 glasses a day

  2. Wow, Kayla!  Looks like your diurnal cycle (daily time schedule) is all mixed up!

For today, take along some sugary snacks to keep your energy level up...m&m peanuts or the like.  But balance those out with some protein (peanut butter or smoked meat, etc. ) so you don't have a sugar crash.  At lunch time, see if there is someplace (maybe even the nurse's office) where you can go and just snooze lightly.  Even resting your eyes and having quiet breathing for 20 minutes will give your body a pick-me-up.

When you get home, take another nap before you start your homework.  Make sure you do not fall into a deep sleep.  Set an alarm clock or make sure there is someone to wake you up.  Sleep for about 1/2 an hour ONLY  then get up and drink some water so that your body is well-hydrated.  Do your homework, watch some tv,  or visit on the phone with someone until about 9 pm.  Then go to bed for the night.  If you are still groggy the next day, take that lunchtime nap again, but try to do without the afternoon nap.  After a couple of days, your diurnal clock will become regulated again...

    Hope this helps!
