  1. For the best result you need to remove the top of the grass - go down about 1" min - then lay out a barrier sheet and put the stones over this.

    Looks good.

  2. Even if you put down a weed barrier under your rock the grass appears to grow right through it. What actually happens is dirt, dust, sand, leaves collect between the weed barrier and rocks making beautiful compost for grass and weed seeds blown in to grow on "top" of the barrier. That weed barrier is made from oil. Don't you just love it when petroleum companies find different ways to waste resources.  RScott

  3. Go with jamand, though I'd add spraying the ground with weedkiller after removing the turf, just an added extra. Don't use any old plastic, you need a specific membrane made for the job, two that come to mind are "Terram" and "Mypex".  That's important, as they allow drainage, otherwise you'll wind up with a bog.  Then you can lay your gravel or whatever on top.

  4. put a weed barrier under the stones

  5. you can make wood or tiles where u dont want grass from coming out.. my suggestion is: First make wood then put tiles on it

  6. put that black sheet of plastic underneath it..
