How to stop a rumour PLEASE HELP?

long story but because of the way i dress everyone thinks im g*y, but im not. now this girl i liked alot (my first crush actualy im 13) were friends with myself but i knew i could never get her and she was a honest good hearted person in short: perfect any way one day she asked if i was g*y, and to get out of pretending to like her i said yes (bad choice) we remained ok friends afterwards untill today when my best friend comes up to me and says "dude every ones saying you like (two guys both good friends) and that you told (my crush) that you were g*y) i never told any one else but her and not untill 7 months after she does this. i talked to one of the two guys they said i liked and he knew its not true - im sur ethe other guy will react the same way but how do i prove to people im not g*y! im starting high school next week and i dont want to begin high school like this! how to i convince people i told her because i was to shy to let her know i liked her? please help me im dying here

make up that you have a girlfriend and she goes to another school, or you met her over the summer or something.

that was pretty slack of the girl to tell people what is potentially a very private secret.

Well, there is no way to stop that rumor now, but what I can suggest is that you can start  a rumor that your straight! Go out with a girl and let everyone know that your straight. There are also other possibilities that can help build your confidence. Look for a great rumor that will help other people be distracted from the rumor "your g*y". But say that you heard it from someone else. Or just stick with the first rumor. That is all I can say.

Well.... This is how you pour water on the rumor

You can either tell the girl that you were confused then but now know you are 100% NOT g*y, or you can tell her that you lied to her and you are not g*y (you can now tell her you like her or keep your trap shut and if you want to get it out later, just make good friends with her.  Better friends anyways.  Girls think more about guy friends, talk more about guy friends, and crush more over guy friends- I know at least half of my friends would not date anyone that is not their friend.)

Next, smile and answer when people ask if you are g*y.  "Nah, that was just one big mistake.  I am not g*y."  is something good to say.  If someone says it in a teasing way to you, just do the same.  If they don't believe you just tell them, "Well Ok, you keep thinking that way." (If you want to be mean because you don't like the guy add at the end "why do you keep telling yourself that I am g*y?  Are so so attracted to me that you can't stand the thought of your first love being strait?")  Soon people that are talking about that "g*y" rumor someone that heard you say that you weren't in that convincing way will tell them  Soon it won't be a very interesting topic and everyone won't care/ doesn't believe you are g*y.

And that is a calm way to douse that fire ^_^.

But if your'e willing to change your personality and way of life style then go ahead and change your clothing style to satisfy other peoples needs. oh thats cute I get nervous around guys too ( you with girls though lol) I really like this guy but hes WAY to blind to see it and we used to be ok friends but idk yeah I guess you could say I need help to. Mix u pyour style and to prove to her and everyone else your not g*y tell her how you feel and tell her that you just said that casue you were freaking out. And maybe she'll feel the same and mayvbe you could ask her out but if she isn't into you then dont worry i bet there are lots of girls out there that like you and dont think your g*y. Dude, you can't stop rumors just be careful what you say next time and just ignore it, and some girls are just evil gossipers and can't wait to spread rumors and hurt someone else's feelings. Don't show any signs of weakness because they will pick on you more. Hold your head up high, be optimistic and pray and ask God to help you. That's the best advice I can give you man.
