I've been quiet for too long and I know I have a chance to get out there. I wanna make more guy friends cuz I don't have many and even though I'm a girl I seriously think they're more fun and way less dramatic

  1. i think you just answered your own question! you just got to get out there and make new friends, and don't be afraid of rejection!

  2. lol to "the thought of dying in 2012 dooms day"

yeah, you can think that. just be yourself and act like todays your last day of being alive and you want to be as happy as possible with friends.

if you're quite, nobody will talk to you. in class try answering a lot of questions humorously, like don't be immature but make funny remarks and stuff to get people to say hi to you and whatnot

i'm shy myself around people but you just have to forget about getting embarrassed because it's not that bad to goof off and stuff

  3. Had the same problem but the thought of me dying in 2012 motivated me enough to do something and I made lots of friends more girls than guys odd because im not that good with girls and i even tried to ask out a girl last year but had a boyfriend already so ima try again this year

  4. that is so true, just lift your head up and just pretend to be confident soon you'll fool yourself and everyone else. talk to people more, say hi first, and dont spend all your time with super tight friends inviteover aqauntices as well

  5. omg i have the same problem of being shy.. it sucks! i don't have confidence, and i have low self-esteem. i am going to junior high though. good luck though! =]

  6. I know how you feel i mean i just need to get out there.

i heard this on John Tecse just keep your head tall and you'll go far in other words keeping your head talll helps bulild self-esteem

  7. If you want to talk to a certain guy, just force yourself to forget about being shy for a moment and start up a conversation with him. More than likely, once you get over the initial shyness, you'll be just fine talking with him. Try asking him a question that wouldn't just have a yes-or-no response. Just do that with any guys you might be interested in being friends with, and see how it goes!

  8. I would consider myself quite a shy person as well. And honestly, I don't think there is much we can do about it. It's just our nature to be a little more reserved than most. I do have my moments when I can be out there, I guess it all depends on my mood and who I'm with.

Just think about the last few years you have to make the most out of your high school experience.

OH, every morning before I go to school, I find it helpful to take in deep breaths and tell myself "think happy thoughts. Today will be a good day." & it usually helps with my social skills for the day.
