I'm trying to lose 10 lbs. so I'm dieting and exercising. I eat really healthy during the day, but then at night I just binge and end up going way over the amount of calories I should consume in a day. Idk why but I always get hungry around 8 or 9 so then I eat alot of junk food and s***w up all my work for the day. How can I stop myself from doing this???

  1. Most binge eating is called from either stress or boredom. So if your getting the urge to eat around that time of night find something that relieves the boredom perhaps s*x? Usually the only thing people want after having s*x is a cigarette and those aren't fattening.

  2. Replace the junk food with fibrous food with froots and salads [fibrous food]. Use maize itsms for food mostly.

  3. I know how you feel, I think everyone gets hungry and goes binge eating at that time!

You just got to have a lot of self-control in yourself and have control to say NO, to it. Drinking a lot of water (8 glasses a day) will keep you pretty full, having lots of protein will also and by doing exercise you tend to feel less hungry.

Whats also worked for me was instead of grabbing food, I got some chewies! and I tried to not think about food at all, and focus on something else - trying to keep my mind busy.

    good luck :)

  4. same here...i hate it.

  5. Why is any of that garbage in your house in the first place? Throw it out or have someone else eat it, go to a supermarket and buy good food. If you don't have bad food, it can't tempt you.

Have someone else in your house check you constantly to make sure you don't go crazy. Plan your meals ahead of time (1 day), everything down to the amount (cals, fat, carbs, protein), time you eat, and serving size. This is very important at first. Keep busy, you can't be that hungry in one day, your binge is probably out of boredom or stress. If you're out exercising or hanging out with someone (make sure they keep good habits), you're not eating bad food.

Eat 6 healthy (relative size) meals per day, 3 square meals and 3 good snacks, and drink water. Whenever you're tempted to eat outside of your planned meals, go outside and do anything except eat.

    Breakfast 7:00

    Snack 10:00

    Lunch 12:00

    Snack 3:00

    Dinner 5:00

    Snack 8:00

All healthy food, don't even be near bad food, and never "reward" yourself with a cheat meal. Water with every meal, water in between meals if you're still hungry.

Read nutrition labels, get protein at every meal (total for the day should be 1 gram per pound of your body weight), it takes a while to digest and it will keep you from binging and it will make you feel full. Only get your carbs from fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

  6. Make sure you eliminate all of the junk food in your house.  Don't even buy it when you go grocery shopping.  If you surround yourself with healthy foods than they only thing that you will binge on is healthy snacks at night.

  7. first how much do u weigh. If your 120 pounds ur good so dont lose weight if ur over that then here is your answer:

If ur hungry eat fruit or have a heathy snack.

Find something else to do to get your mind off eating.

Sometimes people eat when they are bord.

  8. dieting takes forever and it messes you up and makes you crave these things because you are not eating them.  Exercising makes you gain pounds then you lose them weeks later so keep working on it.  I get hungry around 8 or 9 too.  I think most people do.

  9. Sounds like you are not eating enough when you have your main meals.  If you add some vegetables to each of your meals or a salad to add some more nutrients.  Have lots of healthy snacks at home available and throw out your junk.  Replace the potato chips (or whatever) with plain pop corn and fruit and nuts and seeds.  If you can't get it, you can't eat it.  So fill up your fruit bowl and start from today.

  10. Omg, I'm the SAME way. I hate it so bad.

I just do things like laundry, or washing dishes, or even have my friends stay over late so I can keep my mind off food until I'm tired.

I agree it's SSOOO hard, cause sometimes I binge at night too, and its SO embarrassing. You'll get over it hun.

    Just keep busy! :)
